Coming Back for More at Chez Andy

Samui Dining Guide, Autumn 2006

Repeats, repeats, repeats! For a television viewer, there’s nothing worse. For the restaurateur however, this is what they strive for. They want their customers to keep coming back – time after time, year after year.

With the average stay on Samui being only 6 days, you’d expect the percentage of repeat customers in a restaurant to be very low. At Chez Andy, the figure is 30%, which is comparable to a well-established city restaurant with a static population. So why do so many people come back here so often? What’re the particular attractions of this restaurant?

Chez Andy Steak House & Swiss Restaurant

Bonjour

Chez Andy, Steak House and Swiss Restaurant, was founded by Andreas Muller, Swiss citizen and his wife Bunying after Andy was working for four years in a hotel in Chaweng as a chef.

The Restaurant, opened on the 19th February 1998 was one of the first steak house which served his guests imported chilled beef and a international menu for everybody and any budget. There are Swiss, Italian, French as well as Thai specialties. Aperitifs cool cocktails an extensive wine list, draft beers (3) including Erdinger wheat beer and all kind of international spirits are for your disposal.

Located on the first floor of a travel agency just opposite Swensen’s at Malibu Plaza, it was not easy to be coming successful immediately but hard working and improvement in Quality, Service and Cleanliness made Chez Andy today to one of the leading eateries on this beautiful tropical island.
One year later Chez Andy was extended to the ground floor which is today a well known meeting point for residents as well as for tourists.

In 2000 an 80 seat Beer and Grill Garden was added in the backyard of the existing restaurant, which is one of the nicest and quietest gardens on Chaweng. There is in addition to the menu a daily “all you can eat” BBQ for fife hundred fifty baht only available. Children under 12 years get on the buffet price a fifty per cent discount. A discreet live entertainment every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday makes your stay by us more exciting.

2002 was another Branch of Chez Andy in Nakorn Ratchasima opened, in middle of the City just few footsteps beside the Night Bazaar.
